Abacus Upholstery – was a former 1980’s upholstery business initially based at the bottom of Stonefield Road, not far from the junction of Glasgow Road. A more modern adaptation was registered as Abacus Upholstery registered at Blantyre to Eric Constanta McMahon and made a Private Limited company on 14th April 2004, but was dissolved on 3rd February 2006. Eric was also director of Calder Suites Ltd, a Lesmahagow Company, which dissolved on 23rd March 2007.
The Abacus Upholstery Company operated from 80 Calder Street, G72 0AX where now a sandwich shop exists and had phone number 01698 327304. They sold 3 piece suites and also provided a service to have old ones recovered.
