A great aerial photo taken in 1941. From above Blantyreferme, this photo looks over to “Finmeoot”, Caldervale. The former mining community is no longer there. The railway line to Glasgow from Blantyre can be seen cutting across the middle of the picture. The road leading over to Newton in the foreground.

Rena Connor Lived there until 10years old. Long walk to St Charles school & church, dreadful in the winter. The summers where great learned to swim in the Calder the older children taught the little ones.
