This post serves simply to record that Auchentibber Farm, once a beautiful building, has tumbled into dilapidation and a haven for fly tipping in the 9 short months since it went on fire.
Pictured here in Summer 2016 by Alex Rochead, is the current status of the farm showing it as a dumping ground for tyres and rubbish, the gates removed to allow access to this area. What a sorry, sad mess.
Auchentibber Farm went on fire on 8th December 2015 and looks to have been abandoned at present. What a difference in the last decade, as this series of photos will show. It is a shadow of its former self and I sincerely hope somebody has the vision to buy and restore this property, one of the oldest in Blantyre, before it is truly lost forever.
I would love to buy the place to restore but I’ve never been able to find who bought it back in late nov 2015 before the fire. Does anyone have any information?
