Open from 8am until 6pm, it has postcode G72 0BS and is currently occupied by Doctors Mary-Jo Sommerville, Dr Graeme Bingham, Dr. Mobeen Ashraf and Dr. Kieran Dinwoodie.

Mrs. Fiona Rowe is the practice manager and has overall responsibility for the running of the Practice. She looks after staff and patients as well as overseeing all services. Sister Hogg and Sister Keegan are the Practice Nurses. They are both specialist nurse practitioners involved in chronic disease management and health promotion.

The office manager is Anne Clark, the secretary is Elaine Murdoch, the Data Administrator is Pauline Cunningham and IT administrator is Sandra Kilby.

A number of receptionists work in the practice including Anne Callaghan, Anne Brennan, Jackie Beale, Jackie Nisbet, Eleanor Smith, Karin Williamson, Frances McCulloch and Mandy Allan. The District nursing team offer a full range of domiciliary nursing services and there are health visitors, who have special training in health education particularly with regard to paediatric assessment and development.

The practice has a couple of treatment rooms as well as each doctors room and is well maintained, clean and tidy. Home visits are possible by booking in advance.

All medical practices are contracted to provide essential services, primarily the basic treatment of ill people. Calderside Medical Practie hold a contract with NHS Lanarkshire Headquarters in Bothwell.

The practice is also actively involved in teaching medical and nursing students from Glasgow University, Caledonian University and the College in Hamilton.

Patients are welcome from Blantyre and Drumsagard catchment areas and are treated with respect and privacy with 24-hour medical advice available.
