A recent walk to Blantyre Priory made me stop for a few moments to inspect what was left of the Priory ruin. It seems to get worse and less recognisable each time I see it. A visit here back in September 2015, was the first time in around 5 years and again I could see a visible deterioration with more roots growing through the wall. This is the primary cause of the ruin getting worse, rather thankfully than any vandalism.
As nature slowly reclaims the priory, it may only be a few generations until this building is gone completely.
