This is James Nimmo from Blantyre c.1960 (born 1891 at Auchentibber)

James was a star player in the Auchentibber Quoiting team was was part of the team who won the Scottish cup in 1928. He was the son of James Nimmo Snr, posted earlier on this website. Jane Davies told me, “This is in the back garden at Auchinraith Road. He was standing next to his ‘giant’ potato plant at the very top of our garden”

Margaret Nimmo Lehmann, added, “I remember sitting on the garden bench at the top of the garden with him.”
