Janet and Nancy Duncan . 21st August 1954 at Largs
A family photo next. Dated 21st August 1954. Pictured on the left is my mother Janet Duncan, with her big sister, Nancy MacFarlane (also nee Duncan). I was told by Nancy recently that this photo was taken at Largs, where I’d previously thought it to be Hamilton.
Mum would only have been 6 years old at the time. (with her Clarks shoes!). They lived at Stonefield Crescent. When I look at this photo, and despite my own daughter being only three, i definitely see some resemblance between them both.
