Sunday 15th February, dodgem car

The fair came to Blantyre in February 2015 to a new spot at Larkfield Bing. On the day they were packing up, after a full but successful 10 days here, this charming photo was captured at the bottom of Stonefield Road by The Priory Inn. It’s not often you see a converted dodgem car out and about on Blantyre’s roads! Looks like the only thing they had to dodge that day, was Blantyre’s roadworks.

The fair was great fun and with special days arranged for local children from nearby learning centres. It was very well received, leaving lots of children with long lasting memories of wonderful days out.
