2015 Jim McSorleys Magnet from 1966 Meadow Avenue

This is a great little story! Jim McSorley contacted me in January 2015 saying, “Back in 1966 in Meadow Avenue, High Blantyre we were playing in the street by throwing a magnet onto the lamp posts for fun. My friend Eamon Kelly threw it high up the post and we could not retrieve it.

I left Scotland on 1979 to venture to Rhodesia now Zimbabwe. Funny enough I always wondered if that magnet would still be there. To my surprise it is. I hope it stays for another thirty odd years.“
