1934 Archie Danskin at Broompark Rd
This is a photo of my great Uncle Archie Danskin. The date is 1934 and the location is at the corner of Broompark Avenue and Stonefield Road, to be more precise at the back of Danskin’s shop (Later Collinses newsagents)
Sporting a nice bicycle, he poses for the camera smartly dressed. In the background are tenements at the bottom of Watson Street, now where the Doonin is. To the left you can just see the start of the houses in Stonefield Crescent.
The Danskins owned the clothing shop at that location for a good part of the 1920s and 1930s.
