1927 Glasgow Road at John Street looking West

This photo shows a rainy Glasgow Road looking west with John Street on the right. To the left branching off is Logan Street. The Castle Vaults pub on the right, the Priory Bar on the left. The photo dates from 1927. The tramlines are visible in the carriageway and hardly any traffic.

Today it looks very different, indeed completely unrecognisable. What do you think, better now or worse?
