An article from The Evening Herald in 1944. Despite the war raging in Europe, record numbers enjoyed the Glasgow Fair Week and flocked to David Livingstone, proving the memorial centre as popular as it was when opened. Indeed 12,651 people visited the centre that week. It would be interesting to know how this compares to current attendances, to help bolster the need for improving the centre overall as a tourist destination.
