Blantyre Project reader Margaret Wilson contacted me recently to say “The large tree (my cousins call it a monkey puzzle tree) at the front of High Blantyre Cemetery was once planted by my Grannies grave, it was her favourite tree. Guess my Grandad didn’t realize just how big it would grow.”
The tree certainly has become quite a size!
