The Whirlies sculptures, created by Wendy Taylor in 1988, adorn the largest roundabout in East Kilbride. As the first roundabout encountered by visitors from Glasgow, it was designed to impress. The sculptures were commissioned and placed at this prominent location at the end of the 1980s.
