Continuing a little look at East Kilbride. The Whirlies sculptures were created in 1988 by Wendy Taylor. The Whirlies roundabout was the largest in town and the first you entered as a visitor from Glasgow so was constructed with some vision and intention to impress. Sculptures were commissioned, pictured here arriving to the their current location at the end of the 80s.
