Today’s advert is again from 1950, but this time for R Brown Builders. R Brown & Co (Builders) Ltd  were local builders in Blantyre based at 79 Calder Street during the 1940’s and 1950s. Their phone number was Blantyre 266. Does anybody remember the Brown family or when they ceased trading?
