The Bellshill Bypass was under construction in 1967, viewed from Bogs Brae toward Orbiston, with the M74 Raith Interchange nearby. Although the area has changed significantly, both carriageways of the bypass are still in use today, with the Strathclyde Park caravan site now located on the right.
