A plentiful first bounty for the new apple trees in Stonefield Public Park this summer!
Look at this lot! Red, juicy apples on many of the trees in Low Blantyre Park, after a record hot summer. It’s wonderful to see fruit growing in the wild and available to all.
These young trees had a difficult to start to their lives after being vandalised a couple of years ago, but they’re now getting stronger and taller and more hardy. In generations to come, let’s hope there’s a wonderful and plentiful orchard in this area!
Stonefield Public Park has SUCH potential. Large open space, good parking, near amenities. We can do so much better at that space than currently.
