Just a little note to record a long forgotten Blantyre business from over 130 years ago.
Brown and Robertson were painters in High Blantyre during the 1890’s. Based at Gardiner Place on the south side of Main Street they offered plain and decorative painting. They were decorators too, providing gilding services and paperhanging. The newest, quality Victorian patterns were available to all.
