Blantyre Project reader Dean Reynolds sent me a message asking, “The next time you post about Hasties Farm, would you be able to include in your post whether your readers recall the BBC ever being in there filming for a documentary? I’ve heard it from a few people, the information I have is that it was ladies from Glasgow travelling to Blantyre for a night out. This supposedly featured some of the turns in the venue, including the late John Healy. I wouldn’t mind trying to track down footage for Healy’s family, but would need a name of the program to dig deeper.”
Does anybody know more info which could help Dean? The former Hastie’s building is pictured in 1975.
