I’ve had some construction work going on at my house at High Blantyre since the end of February. In advance of the work, I’d cleared some of the hedges and shrubs along my side of the old School Lane Wall.
At places in the wall, trees had previously sprouted from cracks which were cut back. Even in that short time however, throughout March, April and into May, new shoots have already appeared! Life finding a way to bounce back and I’ve accepted, this wee plant emerging from the top of the wall certainly is going to be close to the building.
