Jaqueline Wright has shared this great photo. She told me, “this photo was taken at the Co dancing and shows my mum and her pals. My mum told me they were all about 16 at the time so must have been taken around 1956/57.”
“In the photo from left to right is Janette Keatts, (who became McDermott); Cathy Breslin, (who became Cox) and my mum Cathie McGuire (who became Donnan). They remained friends throughout their lives but sadly all three have now died, although as they always stayed in Blantyre, I’m sure there will be plenty of their family, friends and auld neighbours who remember them.”
