Just a little courtesy message to let readers know about advertising. I’ve enabled advertising with Google for this website, which has just gone live today 31/12/24 and also on Blantyre Telegraph website to help pay for site hosting each year. It’s a good idea, as long as the adverts aren’t too intrusive or numerous.
At the moment, since it’s just switched it on, the ads are everywhere, including in between page loads, which isn’t what I want. Over the next couple of days, I’ll fine tune settings to display fewer ads, remove the ad locations on each page I don’t like and get a better balance.
As such, whilst it may currently look cluttered and even be slightly annoying, this WILL improve though may take a couple of days to settle into something I feel is right . Thanks for your patience.
