How about this for a cracker of a photo. Showing how much things have changed in the last 60 years.
This is Mr Grieve proudly standing on top of the former railway bridge abutment at Broompark Road, as he builds 60 Broompark Road, then a modern bungalow. Some tall trees existed back then, near the entrance to Broompark Farm, with fields behind, prior to the current houses.
The house looks like timber construction on a good sized plot and today the surrounding area is much more built up. Its a great photo!
