Taking a view of how Bothwell Castle looks today and reconstructing how it may have looked back in the day. This must have been impressive to view when looking across the River Clyde from the Blantyre side!

Visited the castle this summer past, I loved being there, it is a stunning reminder of times past loved the old graffiti as well!! I wonder if Queen Mary left a mark Somewhere on those walls?
down near the river i was with some school pals i found a stone it was about 6 foot high and about 4 foot wide, moss had grown over the surface i rubbed some of it carefully and there was an inscription on it it read , here was the favourite place where magdeline murray who was handmaiden to mary queen of scots, some years later i went back down and it had been removed, i heard later it had been moved to edinburgh but not sure where.
