Blantyre Guides ended their 1977 Jubilee Year in style, with a member becoming a Queen’s Guide!

This was a BIG event. At the time, it had been five or six years since the Blantyre Guides had a new Queen’s Guide, about the time that Anne, of Stonefield Place, “joined up.”
Anne, was then a pupil of Blantyre High School and follows Blantyre Project often, so I hope a picture of her younger self online today, isn’t too much of a shock! Anne needed around 20 badges to be made a Queen’s Guide, the highest honour, but through her hard work, dedication and efforts managed to work for and win 25 in all.
