Blantyre Project reader Lewis MacDonald messaged me recently saying, “Hey paul, i was wondering if you would happen to know anything about these bottles that i found at the lime kiln in the woodland near the war memorial at sydes brae?”
Lewis provided a picture and it’s easy to see the scale. The little bottle looks too small to be any kind of refreshment and does appear to be 20th Century. Anybody have any ideas what could have been in this and why it would be near to an old lime kiln?
