What a fantastic picture this is, which Iain Sanderson recently shared on the page. Back to the early 1970’s, this is Main Street, High Blantyre. There’s not many buildings left from this scene today.
Who remembers the tall 3 storey buildings on the left. Park Paper Sales is the business on the lower floor next to the red car. Just out the picture to the left is the garage, but not the only one in this area, the other BP garage situated beside the Masonic on the other side of the road.
