Backmuir Woods, Whistleberry

A beautiful little video today of Backmuir Woods, the leafy green and lovely area between Whistleberry Road and Hamilton. This was once the estate of Auchinraith House and is partially in Blantyre, partly in Hamilton. It is now a nature reserve and wonderful place to go walking.

Carol McCormack Looks lovely how do you get to there
Blantyre Project easiest way is off Whistleberry Road just after the CAT factory, take a right into what used to be Auchinraith Estate. You can park there and access the adjacent wood.
Robin Warnock I lived in Whitehill when i was a boy used to play in these woods also to walk to the Lido at Bothwell Bridge and up to the public park
