Winter visitor

We had a furry, winter visitor to our garden this week at High Blantyre. This grey squirrel appeared, rapidly climbed the bird table and started helping itself to the peanuts I’d left out for the birds.

Filmed from my front window, the squirrel seemed to know it was safe with me behind glass, despite being only a few feet away. It was definitely keeping an eye on my thought! Squirrels aren’t uncommon in my garden at Croftfoot. I’ve seen three together in previous years, each like this one with a reddish tinge on their backs. With colder weather arriving this week, I’ve since filled up the bird feeders again.
