This great interior photos are of former Caldergrove House. Situated near Priory Bridge, they were taken in 1983, shortly before the house was demolished.
Ornate ceiling rose and plaster cornicing, beautiful details on the fireplace sides, which matched the glass windows and the tall, grand doorways.
The sights and stories these rooms could tell. Caldergrove House lasted just over 150 years. Hope to write up the history properly very soon.
