With thanks to Scott Browne who has shared this great photo of Hardie Street. I’ve zoomed in as its in better detail than the postcard I’ve previously posted. In the background, a figure walks along the pavement. This is the 1930’s, the houses built just a few years earlier the previous decade.

The vantage point is from Craig Street and the scene is still very familiar and recognisable today. (Love the old windows!)
