** Update. This is the Telephone Exchange at Forrest Street. Built in 1958, it replaced the older telephone exchange across Glasgow Road at Herbertson Street.

Blantyre Project This IS the telephone exchange at the top of Forrest Street. Opened in 1958. Prior to that, the telephone exchange was in Herbertson Street across Glasgow Road. Well done to the couple of people who got this right. More tomorrow….
