Continuing a look at Blantyre folk.

Linda Mackie Marieskind submitted this photo of her mother into the Blantyre Project Archives. She told me, “Stonefield Parish Church was my family church. In this photo on the steps of the church is my beautiful mother, Mary Mackie (nee Pearson at the time). My mammie was bridesmaid to her sister Margaret Pearson who married Alex McLean of Rutherglen.”

The couple made their home in East Kilbride where Linda’s Aunt Margaret lives til this day. She is now 95 years old. Sadly Mary Mackie passed away in 2013, at 85 years old.”
