Continuing exploring just some of the 1,500 lives of Blantyre people included in the forthcoming book, “Blantyre People“.
Ginem Anderson was born in 1977 in London. Ginem who is half Turkish, moved to Blantyre with her family at the young age of 5.
A former Auchinraith Primary School pupil, she attended Blantyre High as a teenager, working then as a young person at Terminal One at Logan Street, going on to be a youth worker.
As an adult, she moved back to London for 10 years before deciding her heart really was in Blantyre. She came home to Blantyre in 2018 and is currently (2020) the team leader at Hyper Cyber taking over from George.
Her volunteering efforts are to be applauded. Ginem added, “We cannot always build a future for our youths but we can build our youths for the future.”
