I was thrilled to provide wording and photos for TWO new massive shiny display boards in Blantyre ASDA. As ASDA look to engage with community and celebrate Blantyre’s heritage, these two wall panels were put up in the store this week, on permanent display to shoppers, just behind the tills.
The first features Blantyre Mining and the other is David Livingstone, complete with the new Birthplace logo.
With thanks to ASDA for adding credit to Blantyre Project at the bottom of the boards. Can’t buy that sort of advertising promotional opportunity!

Claire Conner Asda always gets such a hard time and I understand why. But Asda also provides jobs for local people and personally I appreciated their low prices while raising 2 children alone. Esp on things like school wear. There are pro’s and con’s to having a supermarket on our door step. At least in doing this they have shown some support to our valued Blantyre Project. I’ll wait for the negative comments now… but please remember we are all entitled to our opinion
