Ann Allan asks, “Was just wondering if any of your older readers remembered this butcher shop? It was my grandad who owned it. I Came across these old books he used for his orders. He had the shop but also had a van and also did deliveries. He was a very young man when he died about 1945. His wife’s name was Nancy (she died in the 1970’s) and he had a daughter called Ella.”
The butchers was based at 370 Main Street in High Blantyre.
