TWe jump next to 1980 and some more weddings of Blantyre folk. We hope all these couples have had happy marriages so far.

First up is James McCann of 235 Glasgow Road, Blantyre who married sweetheart Jaqueline Innes of Kinnoul Place. The couple married in St Joseph’s Church on Glasgow Road in 1980.

Next is Peter Lyons, a Hamilton man who married Jane Healey of Hillview Drive, Blantyre. The happy couple married also in St Josephs Church.

And also slightly earlier in 1979, Sam Clarke another Hamilton man married Andreena Horne of Carlowrie Avenue, Blantyre. They married in Hamilton’s West Church. Photo by Sharps of Hamilton.
