John Ward Duffy shared this photo of the postbox at the bottom of Stonefield. I’m told it is an Edward VII box. If we can look beyond the rather ‘saucy” photo in the window of Tan Unique, you’ll notice of course that the pillar box has a remarkable lean, something that has been there since at least the 1970s.
This post box located near the former Benham’s shop and now beside Valerio Court was once outside Blantyre’s main post office in the early 20th Century.
