Saturday 3rd June 1978 was a day of sunshine with all the fun of the fayre at David Livingstone Primary School.
The Parents Association organised a Summer Fayre, their first ever, and was a huge success with hundreds of people turning up to see a show that included pony rides, karate displays, band concerts, a football match and stalls.
The Association raised £550 for school equipment. The school said, “we normally hold out fayres in Winter, but this year in Summer people came out in droves to enjoy themselves in the sun.”
