1930s Colour Livingstone Outdoor Arena

img_3154I’ve taken this old 1930’s black and white photo of the former outdoor concert arena at David Livingstone Centre and colourised the photo, to show how it may have looked like back it the day.

This was a concert arena, which hosted speakers, musicians and pageants during the 1930’s. It was located in the lower slopes down to the Clyde, behind where now the Africa Pavillions are. The arena was short lived, perhaps succumbing to the Scots Weather not lending itself for such outdoor pursuits. I hope to bring you many more colourised photos in due course.
