In April 2016, an exciting renovation commenced at Kirkton Cross, High Blantyre, which saw TWO well known, established Blantyre businesses relocate to this new location.
The Manse Stables building, (which some people may know as the former indoor bowling, and more latterly the church storeroom just off Main Street), underwent an extensive refit, both internal and external, and on Wednesday 13th April 2016, saw the creation of a new door and window, facing on to Main Street.
Ederra Bridal Studio and Complexions Beauty Salon are the new proprietors, something that has been prompted in part by the March 2016 closure of David Williams Business Centre in High Blantyre Industrial Estate, where they were previously located.
The successful business owners, Lynn McDonald and Emma Buchanan, commented back in April, “We’re delighted to announce our new premises at 1b Craigmuir Road , High Blantyre G72 9UA (The Manse Stables), located within the grounds of Blantyre Old Parish Church is currently being renovated by Keir Hardie Joinery Ltd. We’re hoping Complexions Beauty Salon and Ederra Bridal Studio will be open for business mid/end May. Thank you to all our customers and clients at this time for your patience. We hope to bring you a beautiful salon and studio.”
The prominent location at High Blantyre offers the 2 businesses excellent advertising opportunity and has good parking at the rear. As with every business opening at a new location in Blantyre, we would like to take the opportunity of wishing both Lynn and Emma all the very best for the future and we’re sure this will be a resounding success.
