This is Willie O’Hare. Born in Blantyre, he carved himself a career as a footballer playing for Dalkeith, then by 1931 at the time of this photo, Dundee Football Club as an inside forward. In June 1931, he was transferred to Portsmouth.
The football player had proved one of the most versatile on tho club’s books. He had played in many positions for the Dens Park club and had given good service there. His transfer to Portsmouth was for around £1000.
