These two lesser known maps date from 1914. At just over 100 years old, they were obtained from a Geological Survey of Scotland 1914 reference map sheet, Lanarkshire XVII. N.W. They show the Auchentibber and Calderwood area, particularly for the geology, old tram lines, lime-pits, quarries etc. lots to see, and a lot to learn. It shows the locations of the castles, fairy well, hermitage et al near the Calderwood Glen. A useful reference tool made available here for anybody interested. Thanks to Gordon Cook for sharing.
