2014 Calderglen Nursing Home Gardens in Dec (PV)
Pictured here by myself in December 2014 are the current gardens outside of Calderglen Nursing Home, Blantyre. This nicely landscaped area offers a idyllic retreat for the residents of the care home throughout the year. How pleasant it must be to sit outside here in Summertime and watch the wildlife and listen to the trickle of the nearby River, not far from its junction with the Spittal Burn.
The gardens are terraced, just as they were in 1900, although now much more manageable and not on a scale as they once were.
