1955 High Blantyre Primary School, Hunthill Rd, shared by G Cook

The great photos keep coming in! This lovely colour photo was taken in the mid 1950’s, at High Blantyre Primary School, Hunthill Road. Shared here by Gordon Cook, the picture demonstrates well the remodelled entrance at the front of the school (and proves the work was done to alter the front of the school before this date). It’s unusual also to see a photo of this school, also with the janitors house at the side.

Hope this brings back memories for many people. It certainly has for me, when I attended this school in the 1970s.
