The 2014 Winter Solstice

Wishing you a peaceful solstice

Wishing you a peaceful solstice

Tonight, as I write this, it’s the Winter Solstice. To be more precise, it’s at 11pm this evening, 21st December 2014.

Yes, incredibly already, the days are are changing from tomorrow getting lighter earlier by around 3 minutes each morning and less dark each evening. Darkness is on its way out. It’s raining hard outside and parts of Blantyre are slightly flooded this evening. I sit in my cosy house this evening with family and a few drinks, Christmas is approaching and I feel blessed. Nothing in this world is more important than that.

We’ve all been lucky enough not to see much snow this year so far, so fingers crossed for the rest of the winter. I hope you have somebody or some people dear near to you tonight.

“Wishing you peace, blessings, hopes & visions this Winter Solstice night!”
