1930s David Livingstone Centre snowfall
I love this photo. It’s so calm, christmassy and peaceful. A fresh snowfall has landed at David Livingstone Centre in the 1930s.
Long Winter shadows from the trees are cast against the Shuttle Row walls and the photographers crisp footprint are seen in the shallow snow in the foreground. Overcast skies threaten more snow and the place is deserted, as people stay home for warmth.
To the right, the World Fountain is just visible, at a time not long after the centre opening. All is quiet. All is still. Merry Christmas everybody, to you and yours!
