Not meaning to post about anybody’s house here in particular, but I thought this was an interesting post as the dates are well recorded. Pictured here in 2007 is the last roof being placed on the ‘Jerusalem’ Houses, High Blantyre. This affectionate nickname was given to this housing estate due to the nature of the flat roofs, which gave them an exotic abroad style, not so in keeping with traditional Scottish homes. Scottish weather had something to say about that, with roofs eventually all replaced to a pitch more able to cope with rainwater. A series of photos documents the construction work starting on 21st June 2007, through 28th October 2007 into 18th November 2007. Thanks to Blantyre photographer Jim Brown.
