my cousins Stewart Marshall & John Duncan Marshall are building a family tree of the Duncan family and contacted me, Emmalean Duncan to see if I could offer further information… I saw a photo of my grannie Duncan, Ellen Duncan of Auchentibber in the Blantyre Project and wondered if you could offer more information about both grandparents & their parents … my father, their son, was Alexander Duncan born 16 November 1923 and had a brother William Duncan and  sister Sadie Duncan.

Aunt Sadie became Sadie Marshall

Uncle Willy married Rena (possibly Catherine Gallagher,) whose daughter wrote on social Media in the Blantyre Project, with reference to her mum…there is a possible chance her mum was my Aunt Rena ….

Uncle Willy & Aunt Rena had two if not three children… Catherine, John & unsure of the third child … if any family connections can be traced I would be grateful for information.

my cousins Stewart & John live in Scotland & myself in southern England …

Thank you for all the ongoing work to build The Blantyre Project, such interesting reading
